Tenure-track faculty position with the Department of Developmental and Molecular Biology (DMB) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine – Montefiore Medical Center

The Department of Developmental and Molecular Biology (DMB) at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine –
Montefiore Medical Center invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions from outstanding candidates with
an interest and expertise in fundamental and translational developmental, cellular, and regenerative biological
research across a variety of areas and using a wide range of model systems. We are seeking applicants with a
proven track record of research excellence that are addressing critical scientific questions with innovative and
bold approaches.

Established in 1965, the Department is currently composed of laboratories focusing on the underlying cellular
and molecular mechanisms in development, aging, regeneration and disease, using diverse model systems
including Drosophila, zebrafish, and mice. The department has a rich history of research excellence and

Our endeavors are bolstered by extensive interactions and collaborations between faculty, postdoctoral fellows and
graduate students across departments, centers, and institutes across campus. The college offers an extremely

Candidates will be considered for tenure-track positions at all levels. Applicants must have a PhD, MD/PhD, MD,
or equivalent degree. Einstein seeks candidates whose skills and personal and professional experience have
prepared them to contribute to our commitment to excellence in research, education, mentoring, collaboration,
and to the communities we serve. Successful candidates are expected to establish and maintain a vibrant
research program that will be supportable by extramural funding. Qualified applicants should submit a cover
letter, curriculum vitae, concise (1-2 pages) summary of previous research contributions, a well-articulated
research plan that illustrates their vision for their research program (2 pages), and mentoring/teaching statement,
in a single PDF document titled with their full name to DMB-search@einsteinmed.edu by March 1, 2025.

Recruitments may be hired at all levels. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary
range is $130,000-220,000. Einstein considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of
the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
