Four students will be selected for funded fellowships which include a $4000 stipend and a one-time award of $500 for WiCell services/supplies for the lab. Funding is provided by the SCRMC and WiCell. The SURF program is administered by the Wisconsin Stem Cell Roundtable (WiSCR), an organization of UW graduate student and postdoctoral researchers that aims to foster interaction, collaboration, dialogue, and support among UW stem cell researchers. The program aims to introduce talented undergraduate students to stem cell research with the help of a graduate student or postdoc mentor.
