Jonathan Hernández named Chief Scientific Officer at Riordan Technologies

Jonathan J. Hernández, Ph.D., has been named chief scientific officer at Riordan Technologies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Jonathan was a postdoctoral fellow in the lab of J. Carter Ralphe, M.D., associate professor and chief of pediatric cardiology in the School of Medicine and Public Health. Originally from the City of Panama, Panama, Jon pursued a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology and a master’s in higher education in his home country. He came to UW-Madison for graduate school in 2010 and worked on an iPSC’s-to-cardiomyocytes project with Timothy Kamp, M.D., Ph.D., and Hector Valdivia, M.D., Ph.D., earning his Ph.D. in physiology in 2016. Jonathan was a mentor for the SCRMC’s Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship program in 2017.
