Jacques Galipeau named associate dean for therapeutics development

SCRMC member Jacques Galipeau, MD, the Don and Marilyn Anderson Professor in Oncology and director of the Program for Advanced Cell Therapy (PACT), became the inaugural associate dean for therapeutics development on September 1.

An internationally known translational researcher, Galipeau has been a leader in harnessing a patient’s own stem cells to fight cancer and autoimmune diseases. Since joining the School of Medicine and Public Health in 2016, PACT has obtained an FDA Investigational New Drug (IND) permit to test a treatment for complications of bone marrow transplant.
