Title: Mechanisms involved in Tbx5- and Mef2c-Mediated Cardiac Formation
Abstract: Cardiac development is precisely regulated by the interplay of several transcription factors within a network. How these transcription factors mechanistically interact and how perturbation of the transcription factor network results in congenital heart disease requires further elucidation. I am investigating how a genetic interaction between two transcription factors, Tbx5 and Mef2c, regulate cardiac development.
