Tenneille Ludwig, Senior Scientist, WiCell, and Andrew Petersen, Assistant Scientist, Waisman Center

New PSC cell line and gene editing resources

Abstract: Andrew Petersen, PhD, is an assistant scientist in the UW Human Stem Cell Gene Editing Service, located in the Waisman Center. Through the support of a UW2020 grant in 2016, Drs. Anita Bhattacharyya and Su-Chun Zhang started this service in order to provide CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing services for the UW-Madison research community. Dr. Petersen will discuss how the service operates and what services can be offered. He will briefly go over the specifics of CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, as well as how to apply this research tool to your individual projects. Finally, he will introduce the type of projects that the gene editing service can provide, and where possible, he will include information derived from actual cell lines generated by the service.
