Research Description
Our laboratory focuses on two aspects of cardioregenerative medicine. We study the effects of aging and diet on resident progenitor cells in the heart. We also study a method of transferring therapeutic stem cells to injured myocardium via a “patch” synthesized by cardiac fibroblasts.
